Michelle's Rollercoaster Ride to Sobriety: From Relapse to Redemption

I found solace in recovery, dharma, because I do consider myself a spiritual person and meditation and yoga has been a big part of my life always- and so got a mentor which is like a sponsor, similar to a sponsor, an aa, and so started really focusing on that, obviously reading a lot of quitlet, because that's what what I do.
Michelle's story is a wild ride of highs and lows, starting with her first sip of alcohol in high school. She continued drinking through college and beyond, with her partying escalating to blackouts once Xanax entered the picture. The weight of shame and guilt kept her in a vicious cycle, even after she initially got sober. Relapse hit hard, making things worse before they got better. In this episode of 'Sober Motivation', Michelle opens up about her tumultuous journey.
She discusses how the pandemic threw a wrench in her sobriety and the critical role community support played in her recovery. Michelle also delves into her spiritual journey and how taking decisive action transformed her life. Her story is a beacon of hope for anyone grappling with addiction, showing that even after setbacks, redemption is possible.
