Trish Topmiller: Finding Strength in Faith and Family Amidst Addiction and Loss

So often we would kind of roll our eyes like, oh, not, this one number, no no one, and you know, and roll our eyes he's doing it again. So I, as a little girl, as a young girl, would spend, you know, lots of time sitting on his bed, kind of hoping and waiting for time with him, for those little snippets, and- and- and I would, I would get them in between him, reading the paper, the wall street wall street journal, doing his finance, looking at all his numbers and and that kind of thing.
Life can throw some unexpected curveballs, and Trish Topmiller knows this all too well. In this episode of 'Real Recovery', Trish opens up about her journey through the tumultuous waters of addiction and the heart-wrenching experience of unexpected loss. With a candid and heartfelt narrative, she reveals how leaning on her faith, friends, and family became her lifeline during these trying times.
Trish’s story is not just about her own battles; she also reflects on her father's struggle with opioid addiction and how it impacted her life. By sharing her challenges openly, Trish highlights the power of vulnerability and the importance of bringing addiction into the light. Her message is clear: no one is beyond the reach of recovery, and hope can be found even in the darkest moments.
Whether you're grappling with addiction yourself or supporting a loved one, Trish’s journey offers a beacon of hope and a testament to the strength found in community and faith.
