Mary's Path: From Shadows to Self-Discovery

I never thought I'd get clean again. I went into a hospital and they kept me for Three Days and gave me medication and after Three Days I went home sick as a dog and started over. And at 60 years old, I was feeling like I've never felt before.
Growing up feeling unseen in a family overwhelmed by illness, Mary turned to drugs for a sense of relief. Her journey through addiction was marked by the highs of temporary escape and the lows of relapse. In this episode, Theo Hill sits down with Mary, who shares her story of battling depression and addiction, hitting rock bottom, and finding her way back to life.
With 20 months of sobriety under her belt, Mary opens up about the importance of medication-assisted treatment and the relentless challenges of staying clean. If you're looking for a story that intertwines resilience, gratitude, and the ongoing struggle for recovery, Mary's tale offers a raw and relatable perspective.
