Leigh Stepanian's Road to Recovery: From Chaos to Creativity

There's so many different things and avenues that have [helped me on my recovery journey]. At the time I was, like you know, doing a lot of crossfit. Um, but yeah, I fell in love with crossfit, like, maybe, uh, you know, I always, I was a personal trainer at a gym for many years like- and that was after my casino- I, so you're working, you're working, you're addicted, you're a fifth, you're a trainer. So it just consumed me and I just happened to be a heroin addict, very fit.
Ever wondered how someone can turn a chaotic life into one filled with purpose and creativity? Leigh Stepanian's story is a testament to the power of recovery and the many paths it can take. In this episode of the 'Recovery Matters! Podcast', hosts Phil and Sandy sit down with Leigh to trace her journey from school days marred by substance use to a transformative car crash at 27 that led her to a recovery community.
Leigh's tale isn't just about quitting substances; it's about discovering multiple pathways to healing, including unity through breath work and the therapeutic power of art. Her experiences highlight that recovery isn't a one-size-fits-all process but a deeply personal journey. Whether you're struggling with addiction yourself or supporting someone who is, Leigh's story offers a beacon of hope and a reminder that recovery is as unique as the individual.
Tune in to hear how she found her way to freedom and purpose, and maybe you'll find some inspiration for your own path.
