What happens when a rock and roll lifestyle spirals out of control? Lee McCormick knows all too well. In this episode of Steppin' Out Radio, Lee opens up about his tumultuous journey through the late 1970s and 1980s as a singer-songwriter. The highs of his musical career were matched only by the lows of his drug and alcohol addiction. By 1997, Lee hit a devastating rock bottom that forced him to confront his substance abuse head-on.
He checked himself into rehab, where he experienced a profound awakening that set him on a path of self-discovery and healing. Lee's quest for truth led him to the teachings of Native American and Mesoamerican shamans, who introduced him to a holistic view of life and a new approach to addiction treatment. Now, through his work with the Integrative Life Center and the Medicine Bag Project, Lee helps others navigate their own journeys to recovery.
