Finding Light in Loss: Latosha Jenkins' Journey of Faith and Healing

Sometimes, a lot of times, we get stuck in our own pain and we create shame. But really, sometimes it's just again recognition that you know what this church doesn't have this and this church should have it. So I'm going to create something sort of around this and even, like I said, like the work that you do, we're all supposed to be creating space instead of hiding.
Grief is a powerful force, and in this episode of 'Flip Your Lid', Kim Honeycutt sits down with Latosha Jenkins to explore how faith and identity can be guiding lights through the darkest times. Latosha, affectionately known as Tosh, shares her poignant story of losing her mother at 13 and her husband unexpectedly in 2018. Raising five children, some with special needs, she opens up about the challenges and triumphs that have shaped her journey.
Despite the sorrow that has marked her life, Latosha’s unwavering faith has been her anchor. She discusses how embracing her spirituality and community support has helped her find purpose and joy amidst the pain. Kim and Latosha delve into the importance of creating space for healing and the transformative power of storytelling. They also touch on spiritual battles and how they shape our identities.
This conversation is a testament to resilience and the human spirit's capacity to find light even in the darkest moments. Tune in to hear Latosha’s inspiring story and gain insights into how faith and community can help us all navigate grief and find hope.
