Meet Jordan-Leigh Spark, a young woman whose life story is a testament to human resilience and the power of hope. Born with cerebral palsy, Jordan was determined not to let her condition define her. She grew up surrounded by love and support, especially from her dad, who instilled in her a sense of independence and confidence. But life threw some harsh curveballs her way. At 18, she lost both her parents within just five weeks, plunging her into deep grief.
Struggling to cope, Jordan faced a dark period that included a suicide attempt and a year-long stay in a mental health ward. Addiction soon became a part of her life. After reconnecting with her uncle, she found some solace, only to lose him suddenly three years later. This loss led her down a six-year path of meth addiction that nearly destroyed her. But Jordan's story is far from over.
With immense determination, she chose the path to recovery after eight grueling months. Now, she shares her journey with host Danny Shannon on the 'Kick the Sh!t Podcast'. They discuss the complexities of addiction, the profound impact of loss, and the unyielding spirit that drives us to overcome even the darkest times. This episode is a moving reminder of our capacity for strength and transformation.
