Jordan Fillmore's Journey: Embracing Pain to Find Hope

I think what's been interesting, as I think back on it now that healing has continued even to where I'm at now. There's been points in my life where you know I really started leaning into that pain and that trauma and things that I've suffered through, and then there'd be seasons where I'd kind of step away from it and just give myself a break, because it is hard to go through some of that stuff and then circle back around to it again when I feel, like you know there's still some more that I need to uncover.
Ever wondered what it takes to truly overcome addiction? In this episode of 'Relational Recovery', hosts Wes Thompson and Austin Hill sit down with Jordan Fillmore for a candid conversation about his path from addiction to healing. Jordan opens up about the deep-seated pain and trauma that fueled his addiction, shedding light on the emotional battles many face. Instead of running from his pain, Jordan learned to confront it head-on, a key principle of the Relational Recovery program.
This approach, blending Christian spirituality with psychological insights, offers a unique pathway to recovery. Through his story, Jordan emphasizes the importance of awareness and dealing with shame, showing that hope is always within reach, even in the darkest times. Whether you're on your own recovery journey or supporting someone who is, Jordan's story is a powerful reminder that healing is possible.
