John's Journey: From Workaholic to Balanced Life

For me as a workaholic like, there wasn't a lot of separation between me and my job, like I was my job, my job was me.
Work can be a fulfilling part of life, but for John, it became an all-consuming obsession. Growing up with the belief that he was never good enough, John found solace and validation in his job. This episode of 'Voices in Recovery' reveals how John's workaholism took over his life, threatening his marriage and well-being.
It wasn't until he was given a copy of 'Chained to the Desk' during his second marriage and recovery from an injury that he realized the toll his addiction was taking. With newfound awareness, John sought help and started the first Workaholics Anonymous meeting in Calgary. Now, he's dedicated to helping others break free from the grips of work addiction, sharing his journey and the importance of support groups in recovery.
Tune in to hear John's inspiring story of transformation and how he's building stronger relationships with his family.
