I didn't think I had a problem. They didn't scare me. I knew I was going to feel like shit sooner or later, and you knew how to deal with it.
Imagine working at a winery where drinking is part of the job. For Jimmy S., this was his reality for over two decades. Hired by a California winery, Jimmy's role required him to drink daily with customers, fueling his long-standing battle with alcoholism and drug abuse. After a 30-day inpatient treatment, Jimmy found Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and has been sober since October 1999. Ironically, his commitment to sobriety cost him his job, as his employer fired him for refusing to drink on the job. Yet, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Over the past 21 years, Jimmy has dedicated himself to the principles of AA, transforming his life and helping others along the way.
