The hardest thing I remember doing a fourth and a fifth step, before I did a fourth and fifth step with my sponsor in Philadelphia, I remember somebody had wanted me to do the non-equity tour of Sweet Charity. And I wanted to do it. I wanted to get back there. My sponsor was like, you didn't do a fourth step? He said, if your dreams are as big as they say they are do the work first and it all will come and i lie to you not brad a week before my year of of of of sobriety was when uh a chorus line happened.
James T. Lane's life story is nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. Growing up in the housing projects at 5th and Washington, he faced challenges that would test anyone's spirit. But James didn't just face these challenges; he danced with them, quite literally, all the way to Broadway. However, the journey was far from smooth. Imagine soaring high as a headliner only to crash into homelessness and addiction before hitting 30. That's James' story in a nutshell.
An Achilles tendon injury almost shattered his dreams, but it was his battle with drug addiction and alcoholism that truly pushed him to the edge. In this gripping episode of 'Sober Motivation', James opens up about his darkest moments and the incredible resilience that helped him rise again. His tale isn't just about overcoming addiction; it's about reclaiming one's life, dreams, and self-worth.
