2020 in Hindsight: Steph and Beth’s Candid Reflections

I think the hardest lesson that I'm glad I learned This Year would probably be related to black lives matter and really beginning to come to terms with some of the racist ideas that I couldn't articulate A Year Ago, but that I know are ideas that I had that were wrong, that I have needed to address and that I have needed to remedy.
What a year 2020 has been! In this episode of 'Discovering Our Scars', hosts Steph and Beth take a heartfelt look back at the rollercoaster ride that was 2020. They chat about everything from the global pandemic to the Black Lives Matter movement, and even the contentious US presidential election. The duo doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff, offering a raw and honest conversation about the highs and lows of a year that changed us all.
Steph shares her journey of confronting and addressing her own biases, highlighting the importance of anti-racism work. Beth opens up about the challenges of adapting to new social norms, like mask-wearing and social distancing. Through their personal stories, they discuss how 2020 pushed them to grow and adapt in ways they never expected.
If you’re looking to reflect on the past year with a mix of empathy, honesty, and a dash of hope for the future, this episode is a must-listen.
