Healing from Narcissistic Abuse: A Conversation with Roxanna Safdia

Everybody has to do their own heavy lifting. It's a choice, and I'm pretty sure that, as a victim, we've articulated it several different ways. And sometimes you need to protect yourself from your own parent, even though you know, oh, nobody's going to love you like a mom, nobody's going to be like a dad or a family, or whatever it may be. Know that that's conditional love, not unconditional love, but conditional love they take away from your mental health. Know that you need to set a boundary in there somewhere.
Ever wondered how to navigate the turbulent waters of narcissistic abuse? In this episode of The Shiftshow, Adriana Bucci sits down with Roxanna Safdia, the founder of The Black Sheep Survives, to shed light on this very topic. Roxanna, who has been supporting victims and survivors since 2016, shares her personal journey and professional insights on recognizing and healing from narcissistic abuse. The discussion dives deep into the dynamics of emotional manipulation and the importance of setting boundaries.
Roxanna emphasizes that healing is a process that requires effort and self-compassion. Whether you're dealing with a toxic relationship or trying to support someone who is, this episode offers practical advice and heartfelt encouragement. Tune in for an enlightening conversation that aims to empower survivors to reclaim their lives.
