Giulia's Leap: From NYC Fashion to Costa Rican Freedom
I came from the fashion industry, you know where you, your image is percent of how you present yourself, and so I had to have my hair done, makeup, and even though I'm in a very laid back, you know brand, but the freedom I feel in Santa Teresa, waking up, all I do is brush my feet and then you're on your quad with just the bathing suit on and you're just on the way to the beach.
What would make someone trade the bustling streets of New York City for the serene jungles of Costa Rica? Giulia Vallotto Grace did just that. In this episode of 'The Rima the Jungle Girl Podcast', Rima Danielle Jomaa chats with Giulia about her dramatic life shift. Originally from Italy, Giulia spent years immersed in the fast-paced fashion industry, working for Diesel and navigating the high-energy lifestyle of NYC. But something was missing.
A trip to Costa Rica with her partner ignited a longing for freedom and fulfillment that city life couldn't provide. Just as she was contemplating this big change, a traumatic earthquake in Nepal shook her world, leaving her grappling with fear and uncertainty. Instead of retreating to her old life, Giulia took a bold step forward, moving to the jungle where nature became her healer.
In the lush surroundings of Costa Rica, she discovered a new way of living that allowed her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to flourish. From running a successful taco truck and event space to crafting gemstone jewelry as a form of meditation, Giulia embraced every opportunity that came her way. She also found a supportive community of women who helped her navigate the challenges and celebrate the victories.
This episode is a testament to the power of stepping out of your comfort zone and finding beauty in the unexpected. Giulia's story is not just about changing locations; it's about transforming your life by following your heart.
