I really wanted to try naturally first. I did go to an IVF clinic... We got the all clear... Of course, that didn't happen for me. And everybody I went to see said, we have such great success rates... You can only do that for so long before the constant hope is deflated and crushed again and again and hope and crushed and hope and crushed. You can only do that for so long before the actual trying and the emotional aspect of trying and the hope becomes exhausting can turn into resentment if you like. You know, you resent the hope because it's so upsetting to cling to something that doesn't happen.
What happens when your deepest wish remains unfulfilled?
