The truth is, I don't know why, and I'm grateful that the recovery work that I've done in these last three years has allowed me, over the past week, to catch myself when I want to start answering it, to just be in this moment of my feelings, of just this moment, the feelings of sadness and loss and grief, but to not get overwhelmed with that unmanageability and to pray and to bless and to ask for compassion and for love and for all those affected to be able to feel the caring love of this god, of their understanding.
