Sheri's Journey: From Homecoming Queen to Addiction and Redemption

He has a future for me that I never thought that I would be able to step into based on my past, based on the felonies that I have. And in reality, those of us that have been diagnosed with this disease on the front end. But the reality is it just shows you know the depth of God's grace and his amazing love and power to say: you know what I'm going to redeem you and I'm going to do miracles in the courtroom and I'm going to put you a good landing and I'm going to use you know, even here.
Sheri Anderson had it all – she was a Homecoming Queen and a college graduate with a degree in Microbiology. But behind the picture-perfect exterior, she struggled with anxiety and the trauma of divorce. In this episode of 'The Comeback: Stories That Inspire', host Trey Lewis sits down with Sheri to uncover her battle with addiction and her incredible path to recovery.
Sheri opens up about how she turned to alcohol and drugs as a way to cope, ignoring her friends' warnings until she hit rock bottom. But her story doesn't end there. Through a powerful mix of faith and community support, Sheri found the strength to break free from her addiction. Now, she's dedicated to helping others do the same through her work at Good Landing Recovery.
This episode is a heartfelt reminder of the power of resilience, the importance of seeking help, and the transformative impact of faith and community in overcoming addiction. Whether you're struggling yourself or supporting someone who is, Sheri's story offers hope and practical insights that can make a real difference.
