Bridging Political Divides for Harm Reduction: A Surprising Dialogue

We have to take a look at the whole action of harm reduction, syringe exchange. And so I really want to say this: I really appreciate- I don't know if mark will hear this, maybe I'll send it to him, but I really want to thank mark- that I grew up with in Mullin, South Carolina, and we used to run around and over there in the river there a little Petey River, and we hung out at the little country club there, pineland country club, and just did a lot of cool things together.
Ever thought a conservative and a progressive could find common ground on harm reduction? In this episode of 'The Recovery First Addiction Recovery Podcast', host Mike Todd sits down with a conservative leader from South Carolina to explore just that. Despite their political differences, Mike and his guest dive into the often misunderstood world of harm reduction, including the benefits of syringe services programs.
They share personal stories and experiences, revealing how education and advocacy can break down barriers and create meaningful change. This episode goes beyond politics, focusing on the real-life impacts of harm reduction strategies and the importance of recovery housing and mentorship. Whether you're navigating your own recovery journey or supporting someone who is, this conversation offers valuable insights and a fresh perspective on working together for a common cause.
