Kourtney Campos: Rising Above Bullying and Toxic Relationships

He used to tell me: things like you make me want to do the drugs you're pushing me to do them, and that's why I do them, even though he was doing them before I was ever around.
What happens when the beliefs you grow up with clash with your personal choices? In this episode of the Hard Knocks Podcast, host Jourdan Watts chats with her childhood friend Kourtney Campos about her experiences growing up in an LDS community and the consequences of making choices that went against those beliefs. Kourtney opens up about being bullied, finding herself in toxic relationships, and dealing with the emotional and physical abuse that came with them.
She shares the rumors and stigma she faced, and how she eventually found support and healing. One of the most powerful moments in this episode is when Kourtney talks about the importance of sharing our struggles and finding the courage to open up.
'If you're in that situation, just know that you're not the only person that has heard those words and you may not be the only person that he has told, or he will tell those words to', she says. Through her journey, Kourtney has learned the value of self-care, self-love, and how to trust again. She also shares some of her favorite books and authors, including Rachel Hollis.
This episode is a testament to resilience and healing, offering hope and compassion to anyone who may be going through a similar experience.
