I get up every morning and I'm excited to see my clients. I love watching their growth because I have a book for each client. After about 30 days, I read them the first three or four pages, and they all look and go, 'Whoa.' In 30 days, what's it going to be like in 30 years? This is what you've achieved in 30 days. The only thing you can't do is pick up. Nothing else is impossible.
Imagine being just 17 and already entangled in the dangerous world of methamphetamine addiction. That's where Jack Ahearn found himself. Fast forward to today, and Jack, now 25, has been clean since 2016 and is a beacon of hope for many. Living in Bali, he uses his passion for sports to make a real difference.
Jack's story is more than just a tale of personal triumph; it's a testament to the power of recovery and the impact one person can have on a community. Jack's journey is anything but ordinary. Despite coming from a supportive family, he fell into the abyss of drug dealing and addiction, living in drug houses and facing legal troubles. The normal teenage experiences were stripped away, replaced by chaos and despair. But Jack's story didn't end there.
After hitting rock bottom, he sought help and committed to rehabilitation. In recovery, Jack discovered running as his sanctuary. What started as a personal escape turned into a mission to help others. He founded a non-profit organisation and began running hundreds of kilometres to raise funds for those in need. His efforts don't stop at financial aid; he also works tirelessly to educate the Indonesian community about mental health and addiction.
Jack's story is a powerful reminder that age is no barrier to achieving sobriety and making a difference. His dedication to running and helping others showcases the transformative power of recovery. Whether you're struggling with addiction or know someone who is, Jack's journey offers a compelling glimpse into the possibilities that come with sobriety.
