Linny & Anna: Finding Strength and Sobriety Together
I think the biggest sense of humility that happens with these struggles or things or biggest issues that still happen in sobriety is that the more we make mistakes, the more we learn to be kind to ourselves and to others.
Imagine moving halfway across the world as a child, then navigating life’s ups and downs while battling addiction. That’s Anna’s story. Born in Ukraine and raised in Staten Island, Anna found her calling in helping others and has been sober for nearly two years. Her journey is filled with lessons in self-discovery, holistic wellness, and a dream to create a community space for healing and learning. Linny, on the other hand, has been sober since 2017.
She finds joy in simple pleasures like her cat and music, and believes in the power of kindness and self-compassion. In this episode of 'Voices From Rock Bottom', Linny and Anna open up about their personal battles with addiction, the importance of asking for help, and how embracing vulnerability has shaped their recovery. They delve into the ongoing journey of sobriety, emphasizing the critical role of community support.
Linny’s wisdom shines through when she says, 'The more we make mistakes, the more we learn to be kind to ourselves and others'. Whether you’re struggling with addiction or supporting someone who is, this conversation offers heartfelt insights and practical advice on navigating sobriety.
