Addiction is a disease and needs to be treated like any other disease. And don't think it's not going to happen to you. You have to know what's going on. A long time ago we did a movie If Only and if anybody has any doubts watch the movie If Only and see what really goes on amongst the teenagers in the high schools and colleges where you're not there you don't know what's really happening. And if there's any sign of it, you should be aware and don't have that attitude, not in my house and not my kid.
Imagine watching someone you love spiral into the depths of addiction. In this heartfelt episode of 'Courage to Hope', host Tony LaGreca sits down with Gail Henderson, a woman who has lived through the agony of seeing a loved one struggle with substance abuse. Gail opens up about the rollercoaster of emotions, the sleepless nights, and the desperate search for help that many families know all too well.
Her story is not just about the pain but also about the resilience and unwavering support that comes from deep love. Gail's experiences highlight the need for compassion and systemic change in how we address addiction. She talks candidly about navigating treatment options, advocating for better resources, and the importance of breaking down the stigma surrounding addiction.
This episode is a poignant reminder that addiction affects everyone, regardless of their background, and it calls for a united effort to foster understanding and empathy. Whether you're personally affected by addiction or looking to support someone who is, Gail's journey offers valuable insights and a powerful message of hope.
