Amanda and Andrew: Raw Journeys from Addiction to Recovery

I knew that until I fully accepted that I was an alcoholic, I wasn't sober and what I realized is I needed to stop trying to change everything around me and change what's in me, and that's what I needed to do.
Picture this: Amanda, once a high school homecoming queen, found herself ensnared in the throes of heroin addiction. Alongside her sisters, she faced the brutal reality of addiction as a family disease. Amanda’s story took a public turn when Dr. Phil’s cameras captured her darkest moments. Yet, it was this exposure that propelled her towards sobriety. Now, six years sober, Amanda is a devoted wife and mother, sharing her story to help others find their way out of addiction.
On the other side, we have Andrew. Raised in a loving family with ample opportunities, he still found himself turning to substances to escape his troubled mind. As a musician, the allure of drugs was ever-present, but Andrew’s journey to recovery was marked by finding spirituality and dedicating himself to service. Both Amanda and Andrew’s stories are filled with raw honesty and hope, showcasing the resilience of the human spirit.
Tune in to 'The Empty Chair' to hear these powerful tales of transformation.
