Jonathan and Ari: Stories of Resilience and Recovery

I was finally thrown out of my house- thank god, um- and was put in detox and was supposed to go to one facility. I didn't think anything was going to work. Um, you know, as I didn't immediately get well, but once I was introduced to that, I realized there might be a way out, and that's something that I never felt before.
What does it take to climb out of the depths of addiction and find a path to recovery? In this episode of 'The Empty Chair', host Phil Lahey sits down with Jonathan P. and Ari N., two individuals who have not only battled addiction but have also become beacons of hope for others. Jonathan, sober for seven years, shares his journey from New Jersey to New England, where he embraced the 12-step model.
Now, he works in community outreach for Meta Addiction Treatment, helping others find the care they need. Ari, with over 18 years of sobriety, has been instrumental in starting crucial AA meetings and family support groups across the North and South Shores. He co-founded Number 15, a 12-step community, and is currently a co-owner of Meta Addiction Treatment. Their stories highlight the power of community, the importance of support networks, and the transformative impact of the 12-step model.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone seeking hope and inspiration on their own recovery journey.
