Drew Redd: From Legal Troubles to Leading Recovery

When I think of the purpose of life for me today, being a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, as simple as it can get, is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Ever wondered how someone turns their life around after hitting rock bottom? In this episode of 'Project Recovery', Drew Redd shares his incredible journey from a carefree childhood to battling addiction and facing serious legal issues. Drew talks candidly with hosts Casey Scott and Dr. Matt Woolley about how his admiration for his brothers led him down a path of partying and substance abuse during high school.
Things took a darker turn when his addiction landed him in legal trouble, including house arrest for a serious incident. But it wasn’t all doom and gloom. Drew recounts meeting a pivotal person who encouraged him to go on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which added another layer to his complex relationship with drugs.
Hitting rock bottom eventually pushed Drew to seek help, and he found solace and support in Alcoholics Anonymous and his loved ones. Now, as the Executive Director of ARDU Recovery Center, Drew dedicates his life to helping others find their way out of the darkness. This episode is a testament to the power of resilience and the possibility of redemption, making it a must-listen for anyone touched by addiction.
