Jennifer Adams: Battling Domestic Violence and Family Court Failures
Children are possessions through the court system and they're not treated as human beings. Domestic violence shelter- yeah, yeah, the shelter that we have here, and so it is just dumbfounding that we as a society aren't recognizing what really is happening, and that's where we come in, because it has gotten so far that we are now uniting around the country and the world to bring attention to all of this, because it's been hidden and people have been silenced, and now we're speaking out, and I believe we're right on the cusp of bringing true awareness and change.
What happens when the system meant to protect you becomes part of the problem? Jennifer Adams knows this all too well. As a survivor of domestic violence, she’s had to navigate the treacherous waters of family court, only to find that the system often fails those it’s supposed to help. In this episode of 'The Never Give Up Show!', Jennifer opens up about her journey, sharing how she turned her personal struggles into a mission for change.
From her role as Executive Director of Florida Community Partnership to her involvement with the League of Women Voters, Jennifer has become a leading advocate for innovative legislation and community engagement. She discusses the harsh realities of coping with trauma and mental health challenges while fighting for justice in a broken judicial system. Her story is a powerful reminder that change is possible when survivors speak out and fight for systemic reform.
If you’re looking for inspiration and practical advice on overcoming abuse and advocating for change, this episode is a must-listen.
