Supporting Mothers in Recovery: The Mom and Me Program

Imagine facing the challenges of pregnancy or early motherhood while also battling addiction. It's a daunting thought, but the Mom and Me Recovery Program by CommQuest is here to help. This program is specially designed for pregnant women and mothers with children under two who are struggling with heroin, fentanyl, pain pills, cocaine, meth, or prescription amphetamines.
In this episode, Brooke Burkett, the Clinical Supervising Counselor and Program Coordinator, and Marissa Lindberg, a Lead Counselor and Case Manager, share their insights into how the program works and who it aims to support. They discuss the comprehensive services offered, including prenatal and postnatal care, medication-assisted recovery treatment, and case management advocacy. Brooke and Marissa also talk about how the community can get involved through donations and outreach efforts.
Funded by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, the program is continually expanding to serve more mothers and their babies.
