Chris Herren’s journey is a rollercoaster of highs and lows, from the basketball courts of the NBA to the depths of addiction. Growing up in a competitive household, Chris was pushed into basketball, following in the footsteps of his successful brother. Despite a stellar high school career, which saw him named Boston Globe and Gatorade Player of the Year, his life took a dark turn as he battled addiction from an early age.
Kicked out of Boston College for failing drug tests, Chris’s struggles with substances continued even as he shone on the court at Fresno State and later with the Boston Celtics. At his peak in the NBA, his drug use spiraled out of control. But this isn't just a story of downfall.
