The hardest thing is probably the thing I learned the most, which is go slow, be patient. We don't live in a world where we expect. People drink a lot of coffee, which is okay, I like coffee too, but wow, it's important. It's amazing for me having slowed down what I even see differently like the trees immersed in my backyard, like was that tree? Oh, is it? I mean, what I missed before when I was a big doer. Life has become more focused; you see things that you didn't see before that were always there.
Imagine waking up one day to find that your life has changed in an instant. That’s exactly what happened to Elizabeth Cottone at the age of 50 when she experienced a cerebellar hemorrhagic stroke.
