Cory's Year of Sobriety: A Journey of Struggles and Triumphs

I think I definitely am sensitive and try and perhaps put up a front like I'm not sensitive and I don't care what people think, whatever, and I think I do try and live my life according to what I want. But I think not drinking has made me realize, like, how sensitive I am to other people or how I do care what people think.
Cory's story is one of resilience and transformation. She first reached out to Jean McCarthy, host of 'The Bubble Hour', when she was just 14 days sober. What began as a simple connection blossomed into a supportive friendship, with Jean and Cory encouraging each other along their paths to recovery. Fast forward a year, and Cory is celebrating a significant milestone: one year of sobriety.
In this episode, Cory opens up about her battle with alcohol, revealing how she used it to escape the mundanity of daily life. She candidly discusses the challenges she faced in social settings while trying to stay sober and the pivotal role that self-love played in her recovery. Cory's journey serves as a powerful reminder that change is possible, no matter how daunting it may seem.
Her story is not just about overcoming addiction but also about discovering the importance of loving oneself. Tune in to hear Cory's heartfelt narrative and find inspiration in her courage and determination.
