What happens when childhood friends take drastically different paths but eventually find their way back to each other through sobriety? In this episode of 'Lovely Creatures', hosts Drew and Emma sit down with Mio and Jason, who have known each other since they were kids. At 13, Mio couldn't keep up with Jason's wild lifestyle. Their lives diverged until their early 20s when they reconnected, and Mio introduced Jason to the world of hard partying, including chopping and snorting cocaine.
While Mio eventually realized he couldn't sustain that lifestyle and turned to AA, Jason continued to live in the fast lane, even moving to England to work as a chef and drink heavily. When Mio visited Jason years later, he found his friend in a dire state—sick and bloated from excessive drinking. Despite Mio's fears that he might never see Jason alive again, there was a surprising twist.
