Adam Sud: A Journey from Darkness to Light
For me, people who struggle, when I was struggling most of the time I felt like I was completely forgotten.
Adam Sud's life was spiraling out of control in 2012. Despite growing up in a privileged environment, he struggled with feelings of inadequacy from a young age, especially after being diagnosed with ADHD. His battles led him down a dark path of drug addiction, fast food dependency, and even forging prescriptions. The breaking point came when Adam attempted suicide by drug overdose. Miraculously, he survived, and that moment became the catalyst for a profound transformation.
Checking into rehab, Adam faced a slew of diagnoses: type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, erectile dysfunction, bipolar disorder, suicidal depression, anxiety disorder, sleep disorder, and ADHD. Yet, it was at Asher Gottesman's sober living facility, Transcend, where Adam's life took a remarkable turn. Embracing a plant-based lifestyle, he transitioned to vegetarianism and eventually veganism. Within just four months of sobriety, Adam no longer had diabetes and began to feel a sense of self-worth he had never known.
Today, Adam is a diabetes and food addiction coach for Mastering Diabetes. His story is not just about overcoming addiction; it's about finding self-love, adopting healthy habits, and building meaningful relationships. Tune in to hear Adam's inspiring journey and discover how compassion and understanding can pave the way to recovery.
