Facing ALS: Steve Gallagher's Journey of Advocacy and Hope

I've recognized right away, Janice, that I need to look after my mental health as much as my physical health, and as I look back at the age of when it happened, I probably could have done that more in my life on different moments in my life, but I can't go back.
Imagine being at the peak of physical fitness, only to receive a diagnosis that changes everything. That's exactly what happened to Steve Gallagher, who was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. In this episode of 'Life Unscripted', host Janice Arnoldi sits down with Steve to discuss his life with ALS, a condition with no known cure and limited treatment options.
Steve opens up about the emotional and mental toll the disease has taken on him and his family, especially during the challenging times brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these hurdles, Steve remains a beacon of hope and resilience, drawing strength from his family and his passion for superheroes. He shares his advocacy efforts to raise awareness about ALS and the urgent need for more effective treatments.
This conversation isn't just about the struggles; it's also about finding light in the darkest of times and continuing to fight for a better future. Tune in for an episode filled with raw honesty, heartfelt moments, and an unwavering spirit of hope.
