Weaving Your Story: Bonnie Violet's Transformative Workshop
Now that you've taken the time to create your story, you can share that whole narrative with someone else. And again, I would just encourage you to tell people that you think can hold that.
Bonnie Violet, the heart and soul behind 'A Queer Chaplain', has just wrapped up her impactful 8-week workshop series, 'Lacing Your Narrative with a Spiritual Thread'. Over these weeks, Bonnie has been guiding participants through a deeply personal journey of healing and self-discovery, all while live streaming on platforms like Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube. This series is designed to help individuals connect with their spirit and ideal self, transforming their spiritual wounds into a tapestry of healing and resilience.
Bonnie's own experiences as a trans genderqueer spiritual drag artist, rape survivor, and person living with HIV in recovery from drugs and alcohol have been a cornerstone of the workshops. Her personal journey serves as a beacon for participants, showing how spirituality can be interwoven into every aspect of life—from the boldness of her earrings and tattoos to the fluidity of her gender expression.
The workshops have not only been about exploring spirituality and religion but also about creating and sharing personal narratives. Participants have been encouraged to weave their unique experiences into their stories, finding strength in vulnerability. Despite the challenges of a virtual classroom setting, the series has been a transformative experience for many. Bonnie plans to continue this work with quarterly shows where participants can share their stories in virtual or in-person events.
If you missed the live sessions, don't worry—the video libraries are available on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, and at A Queer Chaplain. This series has been a source of inspiration, support, and hope for many, encouraging everyone to tend to their spiritual wounds and transform hurt into healing. Join Bonnie on this journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth.
