From Turbulence to Triumph: Randall Hooper's Recovery Journey

I take it moment at a time, I pray in the morning. Lately I've been a little bad about that because I'm now working a full-time job Six Days a week, but he's always there whenever I need to call him and talk.
Imagine boarding a flight with the intention of getting sober, only to find yourself giving in to temptation mid-air. That's exactly what happened to Randall Hooper. In this episode of 'Odyssey House Journals', Randall sits down with hosts Tripp Mitchell and Randall Carlisle to share his incredible story of battling addiction and finding sobriety. Flying from California to Utah, Randall was anything but sober when he arrived at Corner Canyon for treatment.
The combination of alcohol and pills left him in a haze, but fast forward six months, and he's celebrating a significant milestone in his recovery journey. Randall opens up about the challenges he faced, including navigating a pandemic while trying to stay clean. He credits much of his success to the unwavering support from his sponsor and the dedicated staff at Odyssey House. Despite the obstacles, Randall highlights the importance of community, in-person meetings, and staying accountable through sponsorship.
His story is a powerful reminder that recovery is possible, even in the toughest of times. Whether you're personally affected by addiction or simply curious about the resilience of the human spirit, Randall's journey offers hope and inspiration.
