One of the hardest things for us to do is ask for help. And I know it sounds crazy, but the more you do it, the easier it gets. It was with the help of God and the people and other people like me.
Jody Ray’s journey is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Growing up with a single parent, Jody faced self-esteem issues that led her down a path of substance abuse at a young age. Her teenage years were marked by experimentation with alcohol and drugs, leading to legal troubles and the heartbreaking loss of loved ones. Yet, her story doesn't end in despair. After years of sobriety, Jody experienced a relapse that threw her life into chaos.
However, it was in this chaos that she found her turning point. Surrendering to treatment, she embraced recovery once again and emerged stronger than ever. Now, Jody works at Volunteers of America Northern Rockies, where she shares her story and provides hope to others facing similar battles. Her journey underscores the importance of spiritual principles, consistent practice, and the unwavering support of a community in achieving and maintaining sobriety.
Jody’s story is not just about overcoming addiction; it’s about rebuilding a life filled with purpose and fulfillment.
