Heidi Mueller: Dancing Through Mental Health Challenges with Laughter

For me, it really is understanding how my body works and understanding what works for me and what doesn't work for me. In addition, I can take that knowledge and I can empower others to advocate for themselves and knowing, maybe, how to disclose their mental health or their addiction, whichever it is, and to be supportive of, mostly for yourself, but also for the people that you're coming out to.
What happens when you combine movement, laughter, and mental health advocacy? Heidi Mueller, a mental health coach and certified laughter leader, joins Jessie Rowe on the 'Recovering Mentally' podcast to share her unique journey. From a young age, Heidi found joy in lifting others' spirits, but it wasn't until her ADHD diagnosis that she truly understood the importance of self-advocacy and transparency about mental health.
When Heidi disclosed her diagnosis at work, she was met with stigma and shame, highlighting the persistent need for better mental health support in the workplace. Through her experiences, Heidi empowers others to stand up for themselves and discover what works best for their mental well-being. She passionately believes in the healing power of movement and laughter, and her story is both inspiring and informative. Tune in to hear Heidi's insights on overcoming mental health challenges with a smile.
