I haven't used since 1994. I haven't touched the drug since that day. No relapse, no turning back, no looking back.
In this episode of The Addiction Connection Podcast, the spotlight is on National Recovery Month, or as the hosts prefer to call it, National Transformation Month. Dr. Mark E. Shaw, CJ McMurry, and Jim Quigley bring you an inspiring testimony from Lynn Frederick Holloway, recorded at their annual summit event in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lynn shares his incredible journey from addiction to transformation through faith and the power of the gospel.
Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Lynn's life took a dark turn when he became addicted to crack cocaine in Los Angeles. His addiction led him down a path of destruction, impacting his relationships and finances. However, his story took a miraculous turn in Durham, North Carolina, where he encountered the Durham Rescue Mission and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Lynn's transformation didn't stop there.
He went on to earn a degree from Piedmont Bible College and became a certified biblical counsellor. For the past 30 years, he has been dedicated to helping others at the Durham Rescue Mission through counselling and teaching in their Victory Program. Lynn's testimony is a powerful reminder of God's grace and the transformative power of faith. If you're looking for a story of hope and redemption, this episode is a must-listen.
