I think it's the wanting to fit in and be accepted, particularly when you've lived your life in a certain way presenting a certain personality or identity as who you are, but also trying to find out who you are. Peer pressure is certainly something, and whether you maybe see that as being something that younger people would identify with, I would also say that even someone coming out like me as an older person even, for those who think I've always been out and I've always been as they would think gay, I mean, then the revelation about how perhaps looking back at myself that the label pansexual sort of fits more realistically with experience and hindsight and stopping beating myself up about why do I find myself attracted to a certain individual that is truly about hearts not parts and that you have permission to be who you are, your true authentic self.
