It's outside of the AA rooms that I face the real test of the effectiveness of my walk through AA's 12 steps. As active alcoholics, we lost our ability to choose whether we would drink. Yet we finally did make choices that brought about our recovery. We came to believe that alone we were powerless over alcohol. This was surely a choice and a most difficult one. We came to believe that a higher power could restore us to sanity when we became willing to practice AA's 12 steps. In short, we chose to become willing, and no better choice did we ever make.
Ever felt like you need a little boost to kickstart your day, especially on the tough journey of recovery? In this episode of AA Morning Snippets, Alyssa invites you to begin your morning with a moment of peace and introspection. She starts with a heartfelt prayer that sets a calming tone, perfect for anyone navigating the ups and downs of sobriety.
Alyssa then dives into daily reflections that are both insightful and relatable, touching on the challenges of living out recovery principles in everyday life. She doesn't just stick to the AA meetings; she explores how these principles can extend beyond those walls and into our daily routines. One of the highlights is her discussion on the power of choice and the importance of believing in something greater than ourselves.
To wrap it all up, Alyssa recites the Lord's Prayer, leaving you with a sense of calm and inspiration to face the day's trials. Whether you're new to sobriety or have been on this path for years, this episode offers a gentle reminder that each day is a new opportunity for growth and reflection.
