From Rock Promoter to Recovery: Jeff Shane's Rollercoaster Ride

My spiritual awakening was that again, it was up to me to decide if I was really honestly committed to this for the rest of my life, and that's when I first became spiritually aware that I had in my hands the ability to make this work.
Imagine living a life filled with rock legends, wild parties, and a whirlwind of drugs. That's exactly what Jeff Shane experienced as the Vice President of Rock Promotions at Capitol Records. Starting in 1966, Jeff's journey through sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll began with experimenting with substances like mescaline, peyote, and marijuana. But it wasn't all glamorous; a car accident led to a back injury, plunging him into a deeper abyss of addiction.
Vicodin, codeine, weed, and cocaine became his daily companions, turning his life into a chaotic blur. In this episode of The Recovery Revolution, Jeff opens up about hitting rock bottom and the pivotal moment that sparked his path to sobriety. Now four and a half years clean, he shares the transformative power of meditation and breathing exercises in his recovery journey.
Tune in to hear Jeff's candid story of struggle and triumph, offering a raw look at the highs and lows of addiction and the hard-earned peace of sobriety.
